Account Deletion Policy

This Account Deletion Policy explains how you can delete your GetFit account and what happens to your data when you do.

1. How to Delete Your Account

1.1 In-App Deletion (Recommended)

1. Open the GetFit app
2. Navigate to Profile tab
3. Tap Settings (gear icon)
4. Scroll to the bottom of the settings page
5. Tap Delete Account
6. Confirm the deletion when prompted

1.2 Via Email

If you are unable to access the App, you can request account deletion by emailing support@getfitapi.com with:

• The email address or phone number associated with your account
• A statement requesting account deletion

We will process email deletion requests within 30 days.

2. What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently and irreversibly deleted:

Burn logs (exercise calorie burns)	✅ Permanently deleted
Nutrition streaks	✅ Permanently deleted

AI chat sessions (conversation history)	✅ Permanently deleted
AI memories (all extracted facts)	✅ Permanently deleted

3. What Is Retained After Deletion

Anonymous, aggregated analytics	Indefinitely	Cannot be linked back to your identity
Data in encrypted database backups	Up to 30 days	Standard backup rotation before permanent purge

4. Important Considerations

4.1 Active Subscriptions

• Deleting your account does not automatically cancel active subscriptions
• iOS: You must cancel your subscription through Apple Settings → Subscriptions before deleting your account
• Android: Active Razorpay subscriptions will not renew after account deletion, but any remaining subscription period will be forfeited
• No refunds are issued for unused subscription periods after account deletion

4.2 Irreversibility

• Account deletion is permanent and irreversible
• We cannot recover your data after deletion is processed
• If you wish to use GetFit again, you will need to create a new account

4.3 Processing Time

• In-app deletion is processed immediately
• Email-requested deletion is processed within 30 days
• Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 additional days after deletion

4.4 Signed-In Sessions

• After account deletion, you will be automatically signed out
• Your authentication token will become invalid

5. Partial Data Deletion

You can delete specific data without deleting your entire account:

Individual AI memories	AI Trainer → Memories → Delete specific memory
All AI memories	AI Trainer → Memories → Reset All
Individual chat sessions	AI Trainer → Chat History → Delete session
Individual food log entries	Calories tab → Swipe or tap to delete entry
Individual burn log entries	Calories tab → Swipe or tap to delete entry
Profile photo	Settings → Profile → Remove photo

6. Apple App Store Compliance

This account deletion feature complies with Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v), which requires apps that support account creation to also allow users to initiate deletion of their account from within the app.

7. Google Play Compliance

This account deletion feature complies with Google Play's User Data policy, which requires apps to provide users with an in-app path to request deletion of their account and associated data.
